what i offer
june is coming. reflecting on the last few months, i wonder if i’ll know the same hands come december.
somewhere in quiet hours, i catch myself hoping to be remembered, not as an endpoint, but as a steady stone. a place someone once paused, caught their breath, and realized they could rest.
something I don’t think i’ve had a chance to find, so my offer to you. soft and unwrapped.
did you know a single dandelion head can produce up to 200 seeds?
each one attached to a tiny parachute-like structure called a pappus. these seeds can travel miles on the wind, carried far from where they began or sometimes, not far at all.
they spread quietly, effortlessly, without any guarantee of where they’ll land, only the hope that one will take root.
so i take root.
